About The Plumbing Training Institute
The Plumbing Training Institute was established to strengthen the plumbing and related skilled-trades workforce through focused education, preparation, and professional development.
Our purpose is rooted in a simple principle: a well-trained workforce plays a vital role in protecting public health, safety, and welfare. Plumbing professionals are responsible for systems that directly affect safe water, sanitation, gas distribution, and the everyday operation of homes, businesses, and communities. PTI exists to help those professionals build and demonstrate the knowledge needed to perform that work safely and successfully.
At this stage, the Institute’s primary focus is on licensing exam preparation and technical readiness. Our training is designed to help industry professionals strengthen their understanding of applicable codes, technical principles, and practical concepts as they prepare for the next step in their careers.
PTI was created with the long-term goal of supporting a stronger, more capable skilled-trades workforce in Louisiana. As the Institute grows, its programs may expand to meet evolving workforce, training, and professional-development needs while remaining grounded in industry relevance and public safety.
